Re: Fuel gauge no reading correct

Is the 07 the one with the donut shaped plastic float gauge that slides up/down? If so I'd bet that the float is binding/sticking to the rod if there's any dirt in the gas tank.

Re: Fuel gauge no reading correct

Arctic Cat stated that there has been some problems with low-sulfur fuels causing fuel gauges to read incorrectly, try adding Chevron Texron additive. AC had said that this helps the problem. Run the fuel level low, then add new fuel with the additive. It may take a couple tank fulls to correct this.
They even mentioned this at the dealer meeting a couple of weeks ago.

Ok I pulled the sender out.  Checked the sweep with my ohm meter and found a dead spot.  It looked like a stain on the wiper.  I cleaned with contact cleaner and a light abrasive pad.  Sender works outstanding now.  Thanks for your info on the additive, I will add some.

Re: Fuel gauge no reading correct

Run the chevron techron fuel additive. You can buy it at walmart or napa. Help clean the sulfur that builds up on the sender unit. If its build up really good you might have to take it out and clean it or run a high conentration for a few tanks to get it to work.
