Hey, this is my first summer with my Prowler, so far its great. One thing that bugs me is the bugs in my face. Ive asked Rhino owners about windshields and they all have tried em and pulled em off because they just didnt like em. Im looking at a Trail Armour cool flo. The ad looks good but i hate to spend 350 bucks and not like it. Anyone have one of these? What is the general conscensus about windshields and side by sides. Help me out guys, Ferg

Hey Dan;
We have one of the Arctic Cat half windshields, with the airfoil lip at top. It does a pretty good job of keeping the bugs and wind off our faces, but it does create a back-draft that pulls dust into the cockpit. I built doors for our machine, and these really help reduce the dust. Also, while in Moab we spoke with another Prowler owner, who suggested pinching foam between the front end of the dump bed and the back of the seats. Will try this soon for additional dust reduction.
We also carry a roll-up generic UTV windshield, so that when the rain or wind get really bad we can throw this on, and it really helps. However, it is that soft kind of plastic, so it distorts the view a bit.
I meant to ask Andre of Trail Armor about his windshield while in Moab, but forgot (he was busy helping me straighten a tie rod after I successfully guided my wife into a post while barrel racing). FWIW, Trail Armor's Prowler skid plates did great!
Hope this helps.

Ive seen the half windshields and almost bought one but after looking at one on a Rhino I changed my mind. Thanks for the reply though....If you talk to the trail armour guy be sure and ask about it. Thanks Dan

I would recommend the 1/2 windshield or a folding windshield. The 1/2 will keep the dust from going into the cab and not make your view disrupted in heavy dust, many people have crashed because of that reason. I turned a full into a folding for my rainy and snowy days, most of the time it is folded down. Their are plenty of options with HUNTERWORKS windshield.
Are we camping yet?

I bought one of the Quadgear cheap windshields and it works just fine. It is made of soft plastic, the same stuff Jeep windows are made of, and it is mount quick and easy with velcro. I used it mainly in the cold weather to cut down the wind. I would not recommend buying this if you want a permanent windshield. Heck it only costs $35 so I figured I would try it.
