Welcome to the forums.
Not sure how this would work in terms of a traditional tethered switch.
If your wearing your belts you won't tug the tether.
I generally see battery disconnects used on caged rigs.
The disconnect should be mounted so that it can be accessed from inside or outside the vehicle.
You'll see this on race rigs where the red switch is mounted in the center of the rig either front or rear.
I see them most often on the dash center up high.
