I am debating waiting on the fi model in 09 but they don't release until 1/09. I am not sure what the major differences are in the two. Someone with experience or expertise please reply!

I have a 2002 Mule 3000, I like it for working around the farm. This last weekend went and bought an '08 Teryx LE. The carbs seem to work just fine I can get 50 mph before it hits the rev limiter. Still breaking it in I don't want to beat on it yet! I live in northern Michigan we get all four seasons, carbs always seem to work fine.

I would wait if you can.
EFI machines definatly have a couple advantages:
They start easier in cold weather, you dont have to change jets if your going from high to low elevations especialy in the same day or trip, easier to tune in espaecilly if you add aftermarket parts like, ait intake, exhaust, superchareger/turbo, crisper throttle responce, easier to keep tuned, might even be easier on fuel (if that maters)
The Teryx is a heck of a machine either way, it's hard to wait for it to get here.

I waited and the FI model runs great, need a CDI though for the FI model with the rev limits and top speed limit removed!

Honestly tuning carb engine are easier compared to efi because of all electronic stuff and sensors but still they are the best.
