Re: CDI?

I know there are a few different CDIs out there now and that is the next thing I plan on getting for my 660. What are you guys running and what is your opinion on the one you have? What did it increase your top speed to? Any other info would be great on this...

Thanks!

Re: CDI?

I just put the black rhino on mine and it is nice not being on the rev limiter all the time it raised it from 40mph to 45,46,47mph, but I have not realy played with it much.

Re: CDI?

Don't waste your money on anything other than a dynatek. No problems reported with this cdi. With a cdi and a kms sheave, you could run 55-58 mph depending on the conditons, tiresize. etc.

Re: CDI?

We have a CDI that is made by Dynatek but is designed for a supercharged motor.  It works great on a naturally aspirated motor as well because the programing changes don't come into effect until the motor reaches a higher RPM than your stock motor will hit.  If you do end up putting a supercharger on later you will be set.

Re: CDI?

dynatek all the way. some other brands are made by dynatek anyway so why not just get what it really is to begin with. hunterworks is a prime example of this since hunterworks cdi is really made by guess who? dynatek

Re: CDI?

Revs to 9000rpm.  I've had the Black Rhino cdi, and it sucked.  Got this one, and it works slightly better than stock.  The Black Rhino one was worse than the stock one.

Re: CDI?

I thought I would share my results with my new dynatek cdi...

For what it is designed to do I give it an A+. Took my top speed from 41mph to 50mph and it is so nice to not be on the limiter all the time. Seems to be a bit stronger as well.  big_smile

Re: CDI?

I just ordered me a dynatek cdi will I have to rejet or can I run stock jetting?
My CDI came in today(3/31/07) just installed it it runs great 46MPH did not rejet seemes to run fine.

I also noticed on the stock cdi box that when I removed it on the back it had the three diamonds that Mitsubishi uses for there logo I was wondering if anyone knows if in fact it is a misubishi part.
