Help adjusting shocks....

I'm trying to stiffen up the suspension on my 08 700. I have the stock oil shocks, no gas chamber. Can soemone give me some advice, tips, technique advise on how to do this. I can't get them to budge....

Jack it up off of the ground untill the tires come off and then adjust. Do the front leaving the rears on the ground and then switch.
