Do you think it might be better to ignore the letter since you/we claiming the filter might release Polaris from liability if our motor gets jacked up from the inherently poor design?
Example:
I had a 1992 Toyota P/U 4x4 with the V6. There was later a Head Gasket recall. If the head gasket did not fail and you went in to have it replaced, then that's it....you got new head gaskets installed and the liability was lifted off Toyota. OR, I waited till one of the head gaskets failed, was stranded, but got a bottom end rebuild out of it.
I'm not trying to screw the system, just trying to keep liability where it belongs.....on Polaris.
Also, not to rant but what about those that use the "hop-up" air filter from Polaris? Is that filter ok? I thought the issue wasn't the filter but the air boot seal.....

The issue really is not the filter and you are correct it is the sealing of the air box, It is also were it brings the air in also, I still do not think on the newest generation RZRs that they have completely fixed the problem, as for the after market filter elements they do put more air into the engine but also do not filter as well, I know that there is some company that make a snorkel kit that gets the air inlet out of the dust but have not seen it yet my self. It is also were you ride, some places in the country are way more silty then others.

It took 16 days to get it. That is much quicker than they said it would take.
Here are some pictures of it if you have not seen it. It is bigger than the original. There is no prefilter for the new updated filter.
This is a tiny step in the right direction however this filter alone does not solve the proble everyone is having in my opinion.
Whats all your thoughts out there?

The problem with the filter problem can not be fixed till they can seal the housing better and pull clean air from a better source, Is that black ring used to hold the air cleaner on tighter to the housing. :?:
