Re: About to pull trigger on an '09

I'm going to take delivery of a Prowler 700 Limited Edition next week. Any advice, or things to look out for?  I almost went with the 550 that has received rave reviews, but the dealer really cut the price of the LE way below MSRP. I'll probably put a quick-release rumble seat on the flat-bed.

Is there a UTV forum that people actually post to? This place is a ghost town!

I have not been arround prowlers as much as the others but I do know you will be happy with the power of the 700 over the 550. I am a big fan of upgrading the seat belts to 5 points right off of the start.

What kind of riding will you be doing?

Old jeep roads. Trips to western ghost towns, etc.

Re: About to pull trigger on an '09

I would love to do some old ghost town trips!

A few ideas:
GPS and GPS Mount
Extra fuel can and mount
some type of sound system
spare tire and or tire repair kit
if you ride much at night I would upgrade from the prowler stock lighting

I will add more things as I think of them.

I have the GPS and Mount. The gas tank holds eight gallons, so for now I'll probably hold off on a spare tank. I have the repair kit, and agree, I should have a spare tire.

You know I have only heard good things about the prowlers.  What are some of the bad things about these utvs?

Engine noise is a definite drawback to most utvs, Kawasaki Mule excluded.

Off season here wink  The Prowler area has been very quiet. Would be nice to hear more from you guys about the Prowler. I have been interested... especially if someone gets the new 1000
