Re: Picked up the RZR S today...

Dealer had 3 RZR S' come in on Thursday.  He said he had a guy put money down on one before talking with the wife.  I guess the wife said no so I got mine one month earlier than expected.  YIPEE!!  BTW, the little bit I've rode it...maybe a mile, I'M ELATED.  We will be duning soon.  I'm looking forward to meeting a few of you on this forum.

Here's a few pictures...

I have an idea what I want, but I'd be very interested in a list of "Necessary Options".  BTW, how necessary are paddles on the dunes.  I have no plan on climbing big sand mountain or the like?  I have a 2006 TRX450R when I want to get crazy.  It's not the fastest, but it's fast enough.  Thanks

Badley and I was taking the rhino's to the top going through snow yesterday. I wouldn't worry about the paddles when you can "air down" and get almost equivelent traction.

You went to the dunes and didn't let me know?     I'm certain the paddles wouldn't be necessary when the sand is damp, but what about when it's really dry?  Is airing down sufficient enough then?

Half windshield or full windshield for my 'S'.  Which and why?

I went with a 1/2. A full windshield creates a vacuum in the cab area and sucks in dust. The 1/2 isn't as bad and you can slide it up on the roll bar that creates a space below the windshield that lets air in to break that vacuum. If you only ride in cold wet areas the full would be OK, the 1/2 is more versatile and still provides a good wind screen at high speeds

I agree! I own a full and never use it anymore, the 1/2 is perfect for a wide range of conditions. Also, hard to see throught the full in certain conditions (plastic), glare and dust. If I were to by another full it would be glass.

The comments above are correct and I agree 1/2 is the way to go!
