Check your wiring. If anything is usually bad with a winch, especially a Warn, it has to be the contactor block.

The clicking is coming from the small box (volt regulator) that sits alone the side of the battery.

You can go online to warn's web site and get there phone# they have always been helpful any time I had a problem with my winch
