Wife is telling me she wants us to get a side by side. I don't know anything about them. For a just plain fun machine (not utility) what would you recomend?

The new Polaris Ranger RZ 800 seems to be the favorite. They fit on most trails and haul ass! If you want something larger that you can put more seats in you should look at the Polaris XP. I have a 2005 Ranger that I bought new and have not had one problem.
All work and no play makes Chuck a dull boy!

RZRs are nice i wouldnt mind one my self, but im going to say get a Rhino, it is sporty enuf to play hard and tool around on the trails but still has a larg enuf cargo box on the back to carry a cooler, extra gas all that good stuff you may need for a day in the dirt. Or an extra seat for more people. they fit in the back of a pick-up also, I carry mine in a Nissan Titan. They are not much bigger than a RZR so they still fit in all the tight trails. They do well in all sorts of areas that have snow, mud or sand and they have good ground clearance for rocky areas. I have an 08 700fi and i work the HELL out of it all year plowing snow all winter and mowing feilds all summer and lots of playing inbetween and it has done better than i ever thought it could.
So i say Rhino

Get a Kawasaki Teryx Sport 2009 or just wait for the new Can-Am this summer

I wish my wife would tell me to buy a new one!
I think the Raxor S might be your best bet for all around. Pending on age and if your bones are starting to creak would I look towards a different one.The original design of side X sides before JOHNSAND and others had them was ease of getting in and out. Now with doors and higher side panels they all compare about the same. My own opinion.
Are we camping yet?
