Re: EPI Clutch Springs

Has anyone installed the EPI spring kit for a 660 Rhino clutch?  The spring kits I'm interested in are :?:  the Sport Utility and Fun In The Sand spring kit's.  I run a ITP Mude Lite 27" for trail and ITP Sand Star 26" for sand.  Accordintg to EPI, each of these tires sets would need a different spring setup.  EPI doesn't recommend using the Sport Utility kit with the 26" Sand Star or Fun In The Sun kit with the 27" Mud Lite.

I'd like to find the spring kit what would work for both, with optimal performance in the sand.  EPI also offers a severe duty belt, which they recommend when changing springs.

Also, has onyone changed springs and replaced the clutch sheeve too, Trinity racing has one I'm interested in.

Thank you

Re: EPI Clutch Springs

I did have the EPI clutch kit installed on mine. I did see a huge gain at low end but none near the top. I noticed the difference while plowing snow. Before it would actually bog down while moving a large pile of snow at a dead stop and now it will break loose all for wheels locked with very little throttle. I am impressed with it other than loss on top end speed.
