Re: HOW MUCH GAS WILL I NEED FOR MY TRIP???

Howdy,  this is my first post as I'm a new member.  Hope its in the right section.

I have a Rhino 660 and I'm going with a few buddies up in the Seirra Nevada Mountains for a wheeling trip.  Going to go to some high mountain lakes to camp and fish.  The trail is about 45 miles each way.  This is my first big trip like this and was wondering if anyone had any rough estimate on how much gas to bring?  I have a roof and bed rack to carry all my gear so room is'nt the issue.  Thanks for any ideas!

I can go about 40+ miles on a 1/2 tank. This depends on the terrain, speed, etc. If you always have your foot in it you will not get as good of mileage. If you are going 90 miles round trip, I would at least take 2-3 gallons for pc of mind.

Glad to help! BTW, I find my RZR S and Rhino use about the same amount of fuel.

Re: HOW MUCH GAS WILL I NEED FOR MY TRIP???

I have done the big trips like what you will be doing and I would suggest to bring a 5 gal gas can for added insurance. You never know if you or your friends may need the extra fuel and it is handy for camp fire starting as well. It is just better to bring a reserve just in case  .
