I finished my shop Krypto - and escaped Spent our Sat in AF Canyon and had a great time. Rhino handled everything I threw at it, had to cross a few boulder sections to get where we were going. Jana a little nerveous at times but didn't want to stop and had us comming back in the dark (btw - lights work great).
Jana gets a little driving time :?
This guy took us in stride...
One of the many stops...

Glad to hear that the shop is done!
I have not been up AF canyon in a long time. Looks like a great riding spot and I really like the boulder sections. I have not done anything like that yet and crossing the water crossing looks great as well!
How are you liking those tires btw?

Boulder sections were a blast - amazing how well the Rhino handles "rock crawling" - clearance the only issue. Had several Jeep guys lusting over the Rhino 8) We crossed water about 5 different times, keeps it interesting Love the Maxis Bighorns - I bought them on recomendation from another Forums member (admin) and I am impressed with versatility and wear. They ride very smooth on hard pack (or pavement) and I have never felt like I could get better traction anywhere except maybe in sand - only thing better would be paddles and I am not pumping enough power to warrant them.
We will be going back real soon to explore some more... any who want to join us are welcome.

Thanks for the report on the tires. What air pressure are you running in your tires out in the sand?

I was running 10lbs as I normally do - I probably should have lowered them but was having so much fun (and having no problems) that I didn't even think about it. Next time I will try some lower preasure and let you know. P.S. I finally got my PIAA clamps yesterday from Black Rhino Performance. Been on back order for 5 months Did you ever get yours?

When we hit the sand we drop the pressure down to 3 pounds, sometimes even less. This helps with everything and we can go almost anywhere we want. We go up the vally side of Sand Mountain where other Rhinos don't even get half way because of tire pressure alone. Try it out!
I also got my brackets! They finally came in last week. I ordered them the first of January...

Jared, Justin, Ryan, anyone else (have referred some new Rhino owners to this site) - Will likely ride here often in July. If you have a Saturday free let me know and we can hook up. Maybe you should get out of the heat and join us Mark 8)
