The guy in the Ranger was fine. He was wearing a seatbelt and he put the helmet on before he tried to climb that rock where he crashed. He was in good spirits about the "mishap" a great guy to be around.
I doubt there will be many chances to climb stuff like that at Black Hills but what do I know since I have never been there!?!
Maybe Chis will chime in a little on that one.
Hello and welcome to the forum! Your gonna love it here!
Thanks for posting up more pic and the videos Dave. I could watch that Ranger "crash" video a million times!
After each day they held a raffle with a ton of really great prizes. Each night the prizes got bigger and bigger with many prizes ranging from $2,000 up to almost $4,000!!!! Do ya think I could win a thing? Heck I never win anything! There were also a lot of vendors there set up each day that we could browse and shop. Legend Air Shocks were also there giving demo rides with there shocks installed.
Yamaha was there with Rhinos and quads for people to go out and test drive all that they wanted. The Yamaha guys were awesome! They were a blast to be around and really took care of us Yamaha owners. The first day the Trail Armor Rhino broke their steering all up and Yamaha fixed it for them at no cost! They even did the work! The next day our trail guide for the difficult ride broke a rear drive shaft and as we got back to the base camp Yamaha was there and did the same thing for him. Yamaha supplied the parts and helped with the repair! All at no cost! They really stepped it up as far as I am concerned. Thanks a ton Yamaha!
Gotta run again...
Life has been crazy busy since the Moab trip so I have been way slow getting things done as far as what I wanted to say about the Rally.
We left home at 3:30 am to head down to Moab so we could be there when things started rollin at the Rally. We made good time and got there with a little time to spare. They had a registration area for everyone to get signed up that had not pre-registered.
They had the day split up into 3 different dificulty levels: easy, medium, and hard basicly. Since Dave and I was not sure what to expect we decided that we would do the medium just to get our feet wet and go from there. They told us that on the medium ride we could split off if we wanted and do a more difficult area of the medium ride. It was so awesome as we headed out to the trails with tons of side x sides following one another. It felt like a big riding club other than at this point we didnt really know most of the people we were riding with. By the time we got to the split off point I was way ready to do some much harder trails so we went to the difficult side and carried on. The views that we expierenced were truely breath taking as we "crawled" around on the rocks and trails of Moab.
Gotta go check out of the Motel. I will try to get some more report done tonight...
I have thought how fun it would be to do some "car crawlin" or play on some other man made items. Looks fun Josh!
Hey Garrett what is the status on these bro?
Thanks for sharing and be sure to keep us updated on the progress!
Welcome and enjoy your stay!
Are you talking Cottonwood in Utah?

Chris, its good to see ya made it over here!
Hey everyone- "ravencr" or to the real world people "Chris" is the main man of the UTV Rally. You did an awesome job with the Rally. Be sure to stick around and let us sidexsideforum members know what we can do to help out in the future!
Oh and the guy with me was Dave, he goes by RMD on this forum.
Tons more cool stuff to come!

JaggedX RZR

And the bumper dumper...

Is there any known side effect in taking this spacer out?
Well since I am being a slacker (actually trying to get caught up on what work I sluffed out on) on getting the video put together I thought I would post up a few teaser pixs from the weekend.
So here ya go------->

MORE TO COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First off welcome to the forum! You will like it here...
As for the 450 I dont have much experience other than riding with a couple this past weekend down at the UTV Rally in Moab. One was driven by a Factory Yamaha driver and he did really well on it. Both of them went almost everywhere the 660s went. There were a few times I could tell that a little more power would have been nice is all.
I think you will enjoy it!
Be sure to share you adventures with us.
It is now Saturday night of the rally and I have finally had a chance to get some internet access...
ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!! YOU HAVE ALL TRUELY MISSED OUT!
I have over 1,000 photos and tons of video to share.
I will do a full report when I get back home at the first of the week. There were so many awesome Vendors, members of the rally and even Yamaha was here! Tons of cool stuff to come... ha ha ha
