Does anyone know of any performance mods for this motor or tranny?
I understand that the motor has been out for a while, and was just wondering.

I think Dragon Fire Racing makes "box" that gets rid of the governor. My RZR has pleanty of power, and hits the governor. I bet you could get another 10mph out of it.
Out of the hole, it leaves black stripes on the pavement, so its good there.

Polaris installed a spacer in the clutch to limit top speed. Removing this spacer will allow top speed in the mid-60's

Some people say that removing the spacer will reduce low end torque and mid range power, but it really doesn't make sense if you look at the mechanics of the clutch. AS far as I can figure the only proven side effect is you go faster.

I personally have ordered a performance clutch kit from dragon fire racing which I have yet to recieve. I fully intend to remove the clutch spacer when I instal the clutch.

Hunterworks, ( hunterworks.com ) has a video of the process of removing the spacer. All it does is let the pulleys get closer together at full rev, which lets the belt ride higher and increases top speed. I don't think it should have any effect on low or mid range speed. The video is really good, and it basically shows you how to change a clutch step by step.

this is my first attempt at a mod... went to Lowes bought some PVC and ... here ya go... Snorkels. Also have a set of Outerwear on the way... any suggestions on Lifts or Bigger tires. I have the Polaris 14" wheels with 26" tires

do not remove the spacer you will fry the belt after about 100 miles. mine took a crap today. it was fun while it lasted,it topped out at 67, but im going to put it back in. i broke down in the middle of nowhere luckily i had phone service.
