Darryl - you saying you drove the 1000? Look like AC is stepping it up - big motor, flatbed, hood scoop...
Nice! Did they step up the axles on the 1000? I think there were some AC's break axles in Moab (other brands too
)
Nice! Looks like fun ![]()
I have been watching Ruesch for a while now. Was interested in buying a cheaper UTV so my son and family can go on our adventures. I was ready to try one for the right price (XR or XR4), but they are not cheap (er less expensive) enough for me to take the risk. Local dealer finally got a few machines about 2-3 months past due date (I wonder how long it will take to get parts?). Ruesch has the right idea - better equiped machines from the factory. Compared to some of the other Chinese crap out there I think Ruesch is the best, but priced right between the Chinese no-names and a Rhino - actually you can get a 450 for about the same money (the Ruesch a 500). After watching them in Moab I am not convinced that they are anything but what Max says " cheap version of a rhino, it's slower, less reliable, cheaper made, therefore cheaper priced". I will keep my eyes on Ruesch - but the real story will really be told by owners experience (not dealers).
I think what will be the most interesting is what happens in Chinese manufacturing. I am not sure if any of you pups
are old enough to remember, but the catch phrase in my day was "Japanese junk"! Japan has manufactured top of the line stuff for what, about the last 20-30 years (or more). I expect China will eventually catch up with Japan and the rest and be even more of a manufacturing powerhouse. When the quality catches up on products like the Ruesch they will cost the same as a Rhino anyway...
I'd like to see a dirt bike jumping over a rhino :-) Anyone up for the challenge?
Next dune trip we will get it done!
I agree with Fasttrax, and I think it is a questions of how many Rhinos

I am about ready to try AF Canyon and see where the snow level is at. I am also thinking the trail from Hobble Creek to Provo Canyon. What do you think? I am not familiar with Thistle, but I could be
I am game for anything, if you go to the dunes I will likely show up and buzz your camp ![]()
Heading to Vegas
for a wedding :?
Next weekend I am riding :!:
Welcome Troy! Look foward to riding with you.
After the carnage in Moab, I decided to get a quote for insurance for my Rhino. I paid cash for my Rhino and had no need for liability insurance to satisfy a loan. I discovered that most auto policies would cover my trailer but not my Rhino when towing. I would hate to total my Rhino while towing and have no coverage. Always figured if I damaged it on the trail I could salvage most of it. I didn't realize I could get this kind of coverage for what it takes to insure my 2 PWC - liability only.
I have been quoted $118/year for Liability (manditory - base) + Comprehensive + Collision ($500 deductable). Progressive is the company (only co. my agent knows that offer insurance policies for UTV's) and I believe this package would satisfy all state insurance requirements if I license for road use. Plus it would cover collisions on the trail and any liability if I have a passenger or someone I run in to hurt .
Questions for those that have insurance...
1.Is this a fair price? (my wife and I have preferred risk policies on everything - excellent records)
2.Has anyone had a claim? Did they cover damage to your satisfaction?
Any experiences with UTV insurance are appreciated!
I bought 2 stock replacement sets! I plan to use one set for custom install in my Baja Design cans. Josh and I think it will work with a custom washer and retainer clip. I will take photos and enter a report here on how it works...
These are my current lights, not HID - Halogen with 55w bulb.
Same housing in HID's from BD are $784.95... ouch!
Look foward to "lighting it up" 8)
Thanks Josh!
