Re: Borneo Dec 6-20

Guys,

I am going on an expedition 1500 miles across Borneo December 6-20.
4x4s, ATVs, MC's wlecome.
There is room for more of us. Only about 30 rigs total will be allowed.

I am shipping a cargo container with my RZR around Nov 1. from Utah.
We can get a larger contain and split the costs if you want to go.

Basically it will cost you $2K to enter, $1K for airfare, about $6K to ship
your rig. Sleeping in the Jungle most of the trip and you'll supply your food and tent etc. This is real Jungle expedition stuff.

Chance of a lifetime and going fast.

If you seriously think there is a chance you would go PM me and I'll give you more info.

I'm not sure.  People from all over the planet coming.  The organizer is in the Netherlands.  30 rigs max is what I heard.
I am the only UTV so far.

You will see this in plenty of TV and magazine coverage.

I'm really hoping to be able to blog via satellite and send photos each day.
Still working on that.

We start the build up this weekend.  The S is getting a bit of an overhaul.

Re: Borneo Dec 6-20

Wow I've been busy.

Marshall MotoArt is building a new cage with an integrated front and rear bumper that will
have 2" receivers up high for the winch to move front and back.  Large roof rack and maybe
perma doors.

Working on Seats, winch stuff, dual battery setup, beadlocks, 8 ply tires, chassis stiffener, upper shock supports, lights, radio.

Taking spare fuel pump, hub, not sure about spare axle, spare studs, oversize studs, spare tie rod and ends, filters, oils etc.

Did a deal in the desert with Badley so he has my stock cage.

Had to get my passport renewed, international drivers license, deal with shipping the rig which is a whole new experience.

Looks like I be sleaping in a Kamprite Tent Cot, off the ground at least.

Thinking about a dual sport helmet like the Aria.  Suppose to rain and I think I'll need to keep the
rain off my face or feel like I'm in a chinese water torture after a few days.

What an adventure! Wish I had the resources and time to go. Look foward to your blog - let us know where to find it.
BTW thanks again for the cage big_smile  Funny how things worked out - I was in Denver, Shannon in Utah, met in the middle of nowhere on the way home  lol Post some photos of your new cage when Marshall finishes it - I want to see your version of a "Jungle Cage"  wink  I think you are going to be popular on this trip... only SXS... Dude, can you carry my stuff? Winch me out? Etc...  tongue

Well I finished the build at Marshall MotoArt, put the RZR on my truck and drove it to Long Beach CA to put it on the boat to Jakarta.
