Re: The MAZE Build Up

I am making a few adjustments on the good 'ol RZR for this upcoming trip at the end of the month. I have a few things in store and will share them with you along the way. I dont have much time for my own machines as I am always working on everyone elses so hopefully everything gets done in time.  wink

Stay tuned....

Re: The MAZE Build Up

With all of the different riding I do I have always wanted a winch. Ya never know when ya need to flip yourself back off your lid. Or a buddies at that.  big_smile  I could have used one many, many times in the past from rollovers to mud.

I chose to go with a WARN 3000MT. It is loaded with 50ft of synthetic rope and is fully sealed to keep out the elements. The MT's also come with a tree trunk protector and D shackle that can be used for many things.

Sweet! I'll be following the build for sure. Are you putting it in the factory spot or something custom?

Re: The MAZE Build Up

It will be mounted in the factory spot. All of the other placements I wanted to put it interfered with other plans. I will be mounting the rocker somewhere different than the dash or stearing column.

Re: The MAZE Build Up

Alot of people say that winches should be mounted as high on the machine as you can get them so they stay out of the mud and water. I would have to disagree. My Warn 3000 is in the stock location on a removeable mount system (it almost never gets taken off). It has been sunk in water drove into banks, buried in mud and has been used to push over many small trees, I have pulled pick-ups and farm machinery with it and most days you wouldnt even know that a winch was on the front if it wasnt for the hook sticking out of the clump of grass and mud hanging off the front and that thing still works like a champ and Im still on my first cable.
Warn is the way to go.

Re: The MAZE Build Up

You are right on the money Titan.  big_smile  I am not one bit worried about water, snow, mud, gunk, crap, whatever with running a WARN winch. I have never had problems with them. Thanks for your review on how they have been for you.  big_smile
