Re: Moab in november???

i guess i am in smile   going to bring my fiance with me and problay cousin wes i hope.  it will be my bachelor weekend since i am getting married on the 21st of november.

lets talk trails!!!!!

i would like to do golden spike out to the crack one day.   wouldnt mind trying behind the rocks or some other new trail.

Woo Hoo - A bachelor party with Dancing Girls   I guess that won't happen with your fiance in tow (and my wife too)  tongue  Congrats Dave - look foward to meeting her!

My Son, his wife and 2 little boys, also my sister and her husband (just bought a Rhino) are comming. They will not want to do any extreme trails. I thought Poison Spider/Golden Spike would be fun for them one day - can we do both out to the crack in one day? I was thinking I might want to take them on Fins/Hells one day - old hat for me (us)but new to them and a fun ride. I am game for whatever is decided.

Re: Moab in november???

i like hells revenge and fins and things and always like that as a welcome to moab ride lol   thats allot better then starting out on poision spider with everybody.

heres what i think

friday
hells revenge - fins and things
saturday
semi extreme day
golden spike to the crack or a new trail like behind the rocks
sunday
relax day or short day
possible run on moab rim.

i dont think you would want to plan to do poision spider to the crack then over golden spike.  we did that one time and it was a long day and alot of miles.  i think you would be better off doing it out and back from either side.  I havent done golden spike for a few years but really enjoyed that trail and think it is a little easier on the body/machine then the start of poision spider.

Re: Moab in november???

Since I am also going to have a load of “chirtlen”, and some newbys with me, I wont be doing anything more challenging than Fins, Hells, Poison spider, and “some” of the golden spike.

Moab rim and Cliffhanger are out for me on this run.

Hell's Revenge, Fins and Things and the Rim would be a riot.  I'm definitely looking forward to November.

Re: Moab in november???

My Rhino is starting to come back together. I have all the parts except for the exhaust, and the time to put it all together. I have the steering in but one thing leads to another. It might get a 686 before Moab.
