A small group of us are taking our travel trailers down to Moab for a quick weekend trip starting Friday evening 3-19, and returning home Sunday night 3-21. We plan to boondock in some unimproved camp area and ride all day Saturday & Sunday. (Weather permitting) Anyone with a travel trailer, who would like to camp & ride with us, let me know...
There is some kind of marathon event in Moab that weekend, so the hotels are pretty booked, and the ones that aren’t are pretty expensive. This is why we are going with the travel trailers.

are you camping where you can ride from camp without being street leagal?

It's a possibility. The exact camping spot hasn't been determined yet.
We are street legal, so it could go either way.
If you have any spots in mind, let me know.

No worries! We will just make sure you are in the middle of the pack when we need to be on the road. Nobody will notice!

I'm planning on making the trip although I will probably drive all the way to Moab Friday instead of stopping along the way. I talked to Jared and he might be coming down with me if he can work things out. We could stay in the day camp areas by Hell's Revenge? I think it's only 5 or 10 bucks a day and there are lots of places to stay. Let me know your thoughts.

Ok, here is the latest.
I am leaving SLC at about 1:00 PM on Friday afternoon to head to Moab.
This way I will be able to secure our camp area while it's still light.
Roger will be leaving at 5:00 and going all the way to Moab.
We are planning to dry camp in a spot that Roger and I have both been before out hwy 313. close to the Dead horse point state park and the north entrance to Gemini bridges.
What I can do is secure your spot as well, then call you and let you know I got it.
Since Moab will be packed that weekend with the marathon event, I suspect that the campgrounds near town will be packed. I could be wrong about that, but this way it shouldn't matter.
There are some great trails in that area that we normally don't hit when we stay in town.

Is that the spot on the right side of the road just before you get into the park? You kind of drop down into it from the paved road?

The both Cowboy camp as well as the unnamed campsite are about a 10-15 min RZR ride from the spot where we took this picture.

Nice Pic! The spot off the paved road stuck in my head because we saw several big diesel pushers dry camped there.. Seemed like a good spot. We might check out the riding there when we get in early in may....
