Why  lol  Maybe the power, but nothing else... IMO the RZR is still the benchmark. It will be interesting to see if they raise the bar (again). We will find out 1/1/11  big_smile

I would suspect so.  However, I hope they don't try to mimic the CanAm, but rather build upon the RZR platform to obtain a meaningful improvement.  A bigger engine and a few tweaks to support some additional power would be a really good start.

Re: New Polaris SXS coming 1-1-11

I just want a solid machine that won't break when I use it offroad. Polaris needs to focus on a reliable powertrain that won't fail before adding more power to it.

Re: New Polaris SXS coming 1-1-11

I am definately more excited about this release than other companies. After being let down by Yamaha, and then Can Am and continually surprised by Polaris I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeve this time 8)

Jumpin in 4 wheel drive shouldn't blow the plastic spraque in it even if you stay on the throttle when you land and have four adults in it. I'll buy me a smart car and tuck 44" tires under it and show Polaris how it should be done smile

I think you're right.  If we're going to offroad it...we'll need to spend some money to upgrade it.  Simple common sense says, whether it be a Jeep or serious rockcrawler at Moab or a sand rail at the dunes...if you want to play, you have to pay.  Nothing factory stock, made by anyone, will take this abuse forever.  However, I am surprised by the factory use of plastic drivetrain parts.  If there's a joke in the manufacture of the RZR, that's it.

I'm anxiously awaiting to see what Polaris comes out with.  I hope it's not another let down similar to the other manufacturers that Badley spoke of.

I think Baley's just excited about filling the extra spot in his big trailer. But then I'm also waiting on the news!     ronk

Re: New Polaris SXS coming 1-1-11

Is ruthless donating prizes for the best guess?

I will say a new utv that has two wheel drive, lighter frame and close to the same motor, two seater and it will be something like a RZR ss(sand sport), lower cage too with HIDs.

Just a wild guess! ( if not it's a oversized battery operated powerwheel)

Busted   Trailer will hold a RZR 4 in addition to the S  lol  After rolling the S in St. George yesterday, Jana is thinking the 4 is a winner.
