Anybody in Utah interested in loadin’ up some camping gear on your UTV & getting into the back country this summer?
I just bought an ATV wagon to stow my camping gear in, and want to go explore some places like the Amasa valley trail system, & the lakes in the Uintah mountains.
I am thinking about 1 and 2 night weekend trips throughout the summer.
Anyone interested???

I actually started plotting one out that would go from Mt. Pleasant to I-70 and back, a continuous loop. It has been a dream of mine for many years but never conquered. Everyone chime in if your interested, you need to know the trail well enough to keep us out of the ATV 50" limit trails.
What ever happened with Shannon's idea?

There are several long distance trips we could take in Idaho. One is from near Darby Montana through Idaho to the eats along the MacGruder Corridorto Elk City; then north to the Selway River and West along the Lewis and Clark trail to Lolo Trail pass.
I have done this one a few times and it is amazing. Three day minimum.
Another one from Salmon, Idaho east to near Grangeville, then south near Riggins through McCall to Stanley and back to Salmon. This trip is about 800 miles and you need a min imum of 5 days.
Mid to late July or August due to snow in the passes. Let me know if anyone has any interest.

Are these continuous loops, no hauling? I would consider coming up and seeing more of that country as well. I haven't had the time to fully map out and check any down here so it would take some planning. I think we should try and set a weekend that works in august or so and do it.

Like I said before, have we left to go yet? And then I remember the white stuff . Oh well it will soon be all gone .. Lets be sure to get this organized soon so we all can plan a great trip.

The 800 mile trip is a loop trail with no hauling. The first trip along the Macgruder Corridor requires a truck/trailer shuttle of about 125 miles. I have used the same service we use for whitewater float shuttle and they are good. Pretty reasonable as well.
Last year we did the MacGruder trip staying in mountain lodges or cabins where they even provided the food. Marie liked that real well and I have to admit it was pretty dang comfortable. We did the trip in September so the color was on and the scenery was FANTASTIC.
I am happy to organize this if there is interest.

we went with riverdad on the Mcgruder ride and made it into a loop ride of 420 miles in 3 days. It was our first time riding utvs and came back and got one last year. We had been doing jeep trips and it was even better in the utvs. Plan on going again this year-- great trip

Noone has pulled it off yet that I've heard. Badley and I tried getting across the skyline but there is a slide that stopped us. I would imagine it would be open soon by the forest service now the snow is gone.
The Jacob city ride is fairly short isn't it? Would like to see old ghost towns anyway so a day trip always works too.
