Re: Best Long Travel kit for my Ranger!

[font=Arial Black:2eaadf4cce] [/font:2eaadf4cce]
I just sold my 2006 Ranger XP. I owned it since it was brand new and left the suspension stock. I am buying a 2012 Ranger 800 XP. I use my Ranger out in the desert washes and rocky, sandy hills while I hunt. I like to get where I am going really fast but have found no matter what I do I always bottom outt like crazy flying over some of the bumps in the dirt roads and washes and it also does not stay very smooth at all it beats the crap out of me and gets pretty rough. I want the extra width the Long Travel gives, The extra 12" or more travel you get and the smooth ride is a must too. Mainly so I can get to a spot fast in my ranger with the correct suspension and not bottom out or beat myself to death, also with out causing any damage to my Ranger. Which kit and shocks do you guys recommend. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I know how much the high end ones cost so I would like to stay in the $5,000- $7,000 range. Thanks for your time.

Thanks again,

Matthew

Matthew

Re: Best Long Travel kit for my Ranger!

Yes I am a newbie on this forum but I have been on a couple other forums for 6 or 7 years and I know the newbies get no respect. A lot of them sign up and ask there stupid question and get a couple answers from some other newbies. Then they are never heard from again and you feel abused and violated yikes lol. I am really wanting to put together a bad a#$ Ranger and I am not leaving as a 1 post wonder. Thank you for your time.

Re: Best Long Travel kit for my Ranger!

Welcome Mathew. I am going with HCR racing LT on my S, I think they make a ranger kit- stout A-arms and King shocks. Ruthless can set you up with a kit from them. I spent 6 years in Yuma... kind of miss it this time of year  wink

Re: Best Long Travel kit for my Ranger!

Looked at HCR's site, maybe they aren't making the Ranger LT anymore? Jared at Ruthless can find out. They have the complete kits for most at about $4k, used to cost $5.5k I believe.
