Let me know when you guys would like to go down, it will give me a excuse to go again. there's a wide verity of riding, there's dunes, washes that you can rail down, slick rock. it's awesome because you don't have stay on a trail, you can go anywhere your UTV will take you. There's plenty of parking. I've seen motor homes to cars down there.

Ummmm, no you have to stay on designated trails now.
That is BLM and USFS policy statewide.
Cross country travel was eliminated recently.
But there is sooooo much down there to ride it doesn't slow me down at all.

Listen Redman, I have been going down in that area for the last 10 years and talked to the park rangers every time i go, and asked them many of questions of what we can and cant ride on in that area. Believe me, if there was a trail that i had to stay on, i would stay on it. I'm not one to ripe up the environment, i like to have the trail open and not shut down because people riding were they shouldn't. so please don't put me in that category.

Rhinoryder,
It was not a personal slam against you.
You said "it's awesome because you don't have stay on a trail, you can go anywhere your UTV will take you."
I have no doubt you have been riding in the open for 10 years. It WAS legal.
BUT the law has changed. There is no longer ANY open riding unless designated like the Dunes at Jericho.
Cross country riding has been closed, end of story.
You really need to check with your ranger friends again.

Redman,
Where Rhinoryder is talking about is a recreation area...Same as the Jerico sand dunes.
Maybe your in the wrong profession ...maybe you could become a Ranger....And if that doesn't work out you could still sit at home and be the "ethics police" for all the less informed over the internet.
Good luck in your future endeavours!
