Really?
Exactly what is the name of this open OHV riding area and where do you access it?

The name, greatest place on earth... How you access it, on a road...

So your saying you know its illegal. Thanks guys. Very adult.
The rest of us thank you for trashing our sport.
For the rest of you who are capable of understanding the gravity of
this issue you can verify that there is NO open OHV cross country riding in
the Green River area (other than the SAND at White Wash dunes).
Call Tom Gnojek in the Price BLM office and he will be happy to inform you
of the facts. 435-636-3631 he will provide you with a travel plan map.

We are in full compliance of the law.
Mind your own business and switch to decaf!

I am minding my own business.
This post is telling people that you can ride anywhere you want down by Green River
as though it was an open OHV riding area, unrestricted to designated trails.
That is not true and you know it. If it were you would post the exact details of where
and how you access this phantom "Open OHV" area.
It becomes my business when people like you decide to flaunt the rules and
jeopardize my access.
This is how we lose riding trails and organizations like SUWA use posts just like this post
to get the closures accomplished.
Now either post the details or admit you were riding illegal and give it up but for the sake
of the sport stop pretending you are right.
Jumping up and down and "claiming" you are legal does not make it so. If you are legal then
posting the details is no big deal is it?

Listen Redman, this is getting a little out of hand. I said this once before if there was a trail that we had to stay on we would stay on it. we are not breaking and laws or doing anything wrong. we don't want to post it on here because we don't want everyone and there dogs going down there and making it like moab, a tree huggers dream. Its not a well known area and I would like to keep it that way. If you would like to go there sometime let me know and we can get a group of people and make a trip, this is the last post i will make and once again, Please don't put us in that category. I like to ride on trail as much as the next guy. so you have a nice day. Thank for all your info.

Thanks for taking the high road Rhinoryder!
I for one am on my way to turn myself in for something I didn't do...But if some dude on the internet says I am breaking the law and ruining life for everybody else...Well..I just can't live with that burden on my back.
I will call you when I need bail.
P.S. - I am done with this as well...It is like talking to a liberal...I can't do anything right.

Sorry guys I am calling bullshit.
There is NO open riding in that area. I called Tom Gnojek and asked him.
Tom is the BLM manager responsible for OHVs in the Green River district.
So stop telling people they can go down there and ride anywhere they want.
And inviting them to go do it with you is no different.
It is not true, if you think it is then post some details.
If you are in a "category" you put yourself there with this post.
Playing "we need to keep this a secret so the hordes won't damage it" is crap.

okay rainman, last post.
EVERYONE, DON'T RIDE WHEREVER YOU WHAT!!!
Happy rainman

Guys, calling me names and making disparaging comments is juvenile.
I don't think it helps make your point do you?
And making tongue in cheek concessionary "alright dad we agree, wink wink"
replies makes you look like a 12 year old.
And you wonder why the greenies hate us all and want us off the land.
Its because you don't think this is serious. It is very serious.
I spend countless hours fighting to maintain access. I attended all 6 BLM RMP
meetings in Utah and wrote recommended changs to every one of them.
I have over 500 hours logged sitting in BLM offices fighting for YOUR right to
ride and this is the only attitude you can muster on the subject?
It is just this type of attitude that is going to keep my grandchildren from
being able to ride public lands. I do not take this topic lightly at all.

Very nice resume!
Lets say I am old enough to know when I am in compliance and and when I am not.
You don't know where we are riding and how we are going about it....But somehow you are willing to question are ethics. That is where the immaturity starts.
Happy Riding!
But not with me.....Someone who feels it is there place to call people out when they have little to no info....Is someone I would never share the areas I ride with.
P.S. - I am so much cooler online!

Except that I do know where you are riding.
You said "Green River" area.
Since your photos do not show you at White wash dunes on the sand then
there is no open riding in that area as explained to me by Tom just today.
So unless you are riding on private land ALL logic tells me that if you are going off
of the designated trails, which you said you were, then you are riding illegal.
What else is there to need to know, its simple math.
Obviously you are old enough to know but sadly you don't care.
