With the installation of a winch, lock and ride windshield, roof, and cab back, the front end of my Ranger is somewhat squated because of all the extra weight. I purchased a set of heavy duty springs (preloaded to 144 lbs rather than 122 lbs of the standard springs) but they came with no instructions and I have no experience pulling apart the shock/spring assembly.
Any help would be appreciated. I am able to jack up the front end and release the top of the shock from the upper mount; however, I cannot get the spring off the shock strut and I don't think I have the clearance to pull the spring off the top of the shock once the spring retainer is removed (that's something I'm not sure how to do either) HELP!!
