Re: Moab in November....now

We're gonna take before and after pics, because knowing these boys in UT and they're typical refusal for tow straps, we should have some good after shots! smile

Chris

That sounds remotely familiar.....

Re: Moab in November....now

Okay so I'm thinking a night ride to Hidden Canyon would rock.
This is on the north side, leave from the the Arch View RV park.

I am toying with the idea of rolling all the way to the Dunes?

Since I am street legal in Utah I might roll from downtown Moab. (How cool is that?)

Trying to gauge interest?  Who wants to join me?  Probably Friday night.

Re: Moab in November....now

I'll go as passenger, or maybe risk it with just my AZ tag. smile Did I say that outloud? So, are they letting people cross the bridge on 191 then, because I thought 191 was off-limits. What is hidden canyon?

I did it once, its not easy but if you leave at night while they are asleep it helps.

Re: Moab in November....now

191 is a two lane hwy.  It is legal if you are legal.
Only four lane Hwys are restricted.  That means Freeways.

Hidden Canyon is..... well its hidden and If I told you it wouldn't be hidden now would it?

Okay I'll tell, but I swear everyone on the internet to secrecy.

A bit north of Monitor/Merrimack/Seven Mile Rim is a very cool horseshoe shaped
canyon with a sandy bottom.  The trail is a big  snake along a sandy wash bottom for
a ways that makes a cool night track.

Its easy riding.  Should only take about 2 hours.

Here is the ATV video I made a few years ago in Hidden Canyon.

Re: Moab in November....now

So, are you telling me 191 is officially okay to ride, because I heard it's not?

Re: Moab in November....now

191 is a two lane Hwy and according to the law its open to us.
I plan to carry around a copy of the law for a while.
Lots of LEOs with their own ideas.

Too rough and slow.  Only challeges there are out
on Golden Spike.

Could take you out where I scared the hell out of the JeggedX boys.

It would a be a late night.
