Hey all,

Any of you who are coming down next weekend, here is where we are camping and starting our rides from each day. We will be arriving Late Thursday night and leaving mid day Monday.
There are trails EVERYWHERE around this area. You can also get to this point to Sand hollow area from this spot. It’s kind of the back door.
No fees, just a dirt road to get there.

The place we are camping has access to all of the dunes & trails, with no charge to ride or camp.
The only place you are required to pay a fee is the area outside the dunes. (On the north side of the underpass by the beach & parking lots)
You still need a flag on any of the dunes though.

Sounds like a great time, but I can't make it on that weekend.  However, I did get it out today.  Went to Little Sahara and had a great time.  Unfortunately, but happily, I was able to help ride a guy out who crashed on his DS 650.  I believe this guy had some broken ribs and a concussion.  It was nice to have the opportunity to help out.  Fasttrax has crashed there and I nearly crashed there a few years back too.  BTW, the RZR S really surprised me.  Since I'm trying my best to break it in right, I really didn't push it hard, but on knobbies, it climbed the valley pretty easily.  Additionally, the ride is as smooth as hoped for.  Hope it keeps getting better from here.  A picture from the dunes...

BTW, met a guy named Wes who has had his 'S' for a couple months.  He mentioned that he will at Sand Hollow with you guys this weekend...riding with Kryptonite.  Enjoy your ride and be safe.

Re: St George Utah Feb 12-16th (President’s day weekend)

We’ve been watching the weather and it isn’t looking good so far for next weekend.
It has been raining down there for the last couple of days. A friend of mine lives between St George & Cedar City. He says that he has 4 “ of NEW snow at his place this morning.
The place we had planned to camp is down a LONG dirt road with one Steep hill that by now has completely turned to mud.  No chance it will dry out with the rain in the upcoming forecast.

We thought about just staying on a motel instead of camping.
With the outrageous prices even the hole in the wall motels are wanting, coupled with the mediocre at best weekend forecast Things just aren’t looking good for next weekend. SO FAR… I’ll keep a close eye on the forecast over the next couple of cays before making any final decision.

Re: St George Utah Feb 12-16th (President’s day weekend)

Wife just found out she will be off Monday, so we will arrive sometime Friday and be ready to ride Sat/Sun - head home Monday. Staying with mother-in-law in St. George    roll   wink
I will likely go regardless of the weather - if it is wet I will stay in the sand.
Sorry you can't make it Brad777. Gavin, it is only 6 1/2 hr drive for you...  wink
