On mine the dealer set the service interval at 25 hours. There's a sequence to get rid of the light, look in the owner's manuel. I just called the dealer cause he had the sequence memorized.
On the eye bolt downs; The second generation idea I have used is to put a piece of rubber heater hose between the washers. It keeps things centered. The hose needs to be about a half inch longer than the lock n ride hole, so it fills the hole when you tighten it.
Rocky Mountian catalog came today. Big Guns makes one with a baffle/spark arrestor you can take out. Check rockymountain.com for more info on pricing etc.
I haven't had that problem. Seatbelts lock up from a weight that hangs below a locking device. If the weight swings forward (like an impact) it locks up. It sounds like you have tension on it and it won't allow it to release. That sucks. I'd try to get that warrantied, because it's a safety item.
The Polaris rep in our area (the guy who is paid to let salesmen thrash his rzr) has the factory fmf/polaris setup on his. It's a little louder, sorry but i can't remember his horsepower claims.
I'd spend the money on suspension!
I didn't notice the thumbnail at first, but I'm sure there would be pleanty of offers to keep you warm.
I don't have a windshield, but I've heard they swirl the dust into the cab worse than without. You may be warm, but dirty.
I'd say buy a jacket. Look for snow-mobile suits etc if you're in that cold of conditions. There are aftermarket cab enclosures, they're bulky looking. I use a thor brand motorcycle jacket that is wind and waterproof. These jackets usually have vent openings for when it heats up, and some have zip off sleeves.
Looks like they copied the rhino. I bet that "brute force" V twin will run away from an EFI rhino, even if it has a carb.
Hunterworks, ( hunterworks.com ) has a video of the process of removing the spacer. All it does is let the pulleys get closer together at full rev, which lets the belt ride higher and increases top speed. I don't think it should have any effect on low or mid range speed. The video is really good, and it basically shows you how to change a clutch step by step.
That's a full on race car. You did a good job of taking pictures of the progress. Here's a pic of mine. It's more of a bolt on kit.
Ground clearance is 14" from the skid plate to the ground.
Those are home depot eye bolts with fender washers on both sides, and nylock nuts on the bottom. There is no spacer inside the "lock n ride" hole. The fender washers end up bending a little, and they self center.
I ran it all the way out once at 76 miles. It was desert terain, all high range with some sand washes, and some hard packed straight aways.
Fireball racing 6" over long travel suspension kit on my RZR. I have about 600 miles on it, mostly in Baja, with no problems. It uses stock CV joints with longer axles. The kit is bolt on, and I think there are only two holes to drill. Mechanical aptitude is needed for the CV joints and bleeding the brakes. Thier website has the phone number in it. I've only seen one or two 6" over kits. It handles great, ground clearance is higher, and the wheelbase is extended by about 3". I went with the bilstien (I know thats probably spelled wrong) shocks. They're only preload adjustable, but they're valved good for non racing applications.
Here are some pics.
Here are some pics... I hope
Rear suspension closeup
IMS brand GPS mount, made for motorcycles. It had to be modified for the Vista CX. Its made for the original Etrex, and I had to make room for the buttons on the sides, and bend it open so this one would fit.
Well, here it is. I have about 600 miles on the new suspension. It is a bolt on kit, and I think there are only two holes to drill for the rear shock tower stiffener. The CV joints are stock with custom axles. The kit retailes for about $5,800 from Fireball racing. The roll cage is going next.
Pictures should be up later today, if I can. My wife went out of town and has the digital camera.
What do you want to know more about? I've ridden Baja for a long time, and I could go on forever.
